The Community Activities Group of Ottawa East (CAG) is hosting an All-Are-Welcome DiverCITY Community BBQ in Springhurst Park on Thursday, June 26th from 5:30pm - 8:00pm (Rain date: Friday, June 27th, 2025, 5:30pm - 8:00pm).
The DiverCity BBQ will encourage newcomers, immigrants, students, and long-time residents to meet, share a meal, and learn more about each other in one of Ottawa's most beautiful and active city parks: Springhurst Park at Lees Avenue.
The event will feature music, games, and food that reflects the diverse residents of OOE! Food choices will meet all dietary requirements.​​​​
Call for Volunteers
Volunteers are crucial to the success of our DiverCITY Community BBQ! Without the support of our amazing OOE community, we would not be able to put on these events.
​
Jobs include working the cash, dicing up some toppings (lettuce, tomatoes and onions), set-up/clean up and of course, working the bbq!
​
Shifts range from 30 - 60 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the BBQ yourself with your family, friend sand neighbours. This is a great way to meet others in your community and give back at the same time!
