Service Description

A workout that draws on the flowing movements of tai chi for health and balance, strengthening theories in ballet for long, lean, flexible muscles, and healing principles of physiotherapy for a pain-free body. This is a full-body workout that works through the muscle chains, liberating and empowering the muscles, and relieving them from tension in the process. Instructor: Pam Forth is a well-known Pilates teacher in Ottawa having over 25 years of training in many different movement modalities. A lover of learning, most recently she was certified in Essentrics ™ created by Miranda Esmonde-White, a New York Times best-selling author of Forever Painless well known for Classical Stretch and Aging Backwards that can be seen on PBS. As a former modern dancer, she has found the Essentrics a wonderful way to move the body in a fluid motion while conditioning all the muscles in the body in a safe and gentle way.
