Session 1: Mondays 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm A workout that draws on the flowing movements of tai chi which create health and balance, the strengthening theories behind ballet which create long, lean, flexible muscles and the healing principles of physiotherapy which create a pain free body. This is a full-body technique that works through the muscle chains, liberating and empowering the muscles, relieving them from tension in the process. Instructor: Pam Forth is a well-known Pilates teacher in Ottawa having over 25 yearsof training in many different movement modalities. A lover of learning, most recently she was certified in Essentrics ™ created by Miranda Esmonde-White, a New York Times best seller author of Forever Painless well known for Classical Stretch and Aging Backwards that can be seen on PBS. As a former modern dancer she has found the Essentrics a wonderful way to move the body in a fluid motion while conditioning all the muscles in the body in a safe and gentle way.
