Location: Old Town Hall - Upstairs (61 Main Street)

* June 7 will be the final showcase (location and time TBC)

**Please Note: There will be NO class on March 15 (March Break), April 5 (Easter Sunday) or May 10 (Mother's Day).​​

Program Description:​ 

​

There are three opportunities to dance this term:​​​

1. Creative Dance

​

Exploration of fundamental building blocks of movement through song, dance and play for dancers aged

2 - 3.5 years (approx.) Caregiver participation optional and welcome where preferred.

2. Pre-Ballet

​

Fundamentals of creative movement combined with introduction to ballet technique in a more structured dance class for dancers aged 3.5 - 6 years (approx.).

3. Jazz-Tap Combo

​

Introduction to jazz and tap dance techniques for dancers aged 4 - 7 years (approx.). Tap shoes required.

About Micro Movement Dance:

Our goal is to encourage a love for dance and movement within a fun, inclusive and educational environment. Our philosophy is that dance is for every-body, and that every body can dance.

 

Founder and lead instructor Dr. Carolyn Hebert holds a PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa and a Masters of Dance from York University. She has taught recreational and competitive dance in the National Capital Region for over 15 years, is a member of the Ottawa Rhythm Initiative Ensemble, and winner of Faces Magazine's Favourite Dance Instructor, 2020.​
