Program Description:
NEW Classes added this term!
1. Creative Movement
Exploration of fundamental building blocks of movement through song, dance and play for dancers aged 2 - 3.5 years (approx.) Caregiver participation optional and welcome where preferred.
2. Pre-Ballet
Fundamentals of creative movement combined with introduction to ballet technique in a more structured dance class for dancers aged 3.5 - 5 years (approx.).
3. Ballet 1
Level 1 ballet technique for dancers aged 5-8 with at least 1 year of pre-ballet and/or Combo 1.
4. Jazz-Tap Combo 1
Introduction to jazz and tap dance techniques for dancers aged 3.5-6 years (approx.) Tap shoes required.
5. Jazz-Tap Combo 2
Continued exploration of jazz and tap dance techniques for dancers aged 5-8 with at least 1 year of pre-ballet and/or Combo 1.

About Micro Movement Dance:
Our goal is to encourage a love for dance and movement within a fun, inclusive and educational environment. Our philosophy is that dance is for every-body, and that every body can dance.
Founder and lead instructor Dr. Carolyn Hebert holds a PhD in Education from the University of Ottawa and a Masters of Dance from York University.
She has taught recreational and competitive dance in the National Capital Region for over 15 years, is a member of the Ottawa Rhythm Initiative Ensemble, and winner of Faces Magazine's Favourite Dance Instructor, 2020.
