Volunteers are crucial to the success of our BBQs and everyone is welcome to help us put on this great community event. This is a great way to meet others in your community and give back at the same time!
How can volunteers help at CAG's Community BBQs?
CAG's Weekly Community BBQs are volunteer-run events, which means that volunteers are essential to every part of our BBQ operations!
Shifts range from only 30 - 60 minutes, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy the BBQ with your family, friends and neighbours. Plus, volunteers eat for free!
Volunteer duties include working the cash, dicing up some toppings (lettuce, tomatoes and onions), handing out food, set-up/clean up and of course, working the BBQ! Children are welcome to join in and help out, except for grilling on the BBQ and working the cash, which both require an volunteer who is at least 18 years old.
