2024 Carleton Annual Biology Butterfly Group Tour​

Location: Nesbitt Biology Building, Carleton University Campus

Pricing: $12.00/person
 

Description: CAG is thrilled to invite community members to enjoy a butterfly experience at the 2024 Carleton Biology Butterfly Show!​ Attendees will get to enjoy a short presentation, followed by a greenhouse experience with around 1,000 butterflies.

Additional Info: CAG will provide bus transportation to and from the show, with several pickup spots along Main Street. Dressing in layers is strongly encouraged, as the greenhouse temperatures are 30ºC with humidity and there is no coat check. Feel free to bring orange or pineapple slices (in sealed containers) to entice some butterflies with a snack! And please pack lightly, as no large bags are permitted in the greenhouse and the lobby is unsupervised.

Accessibility:

The greenhouses are accessible for standard sized wheelchairs, but many of the corners in the greenhouses are too tight for mechanized wheelchairs. They do not have wheelchairs available on site.

 

• The maximum width for entry into the greenhouse display is 81 cm.

• Within the greenhouse, the width between the benches that hold our tropical plants is 86 cm.
