How the CAG Board of Directors Works

CAG is a not-for-profit organization that is managed by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are elected by the members of CAG for an initial one (1) year term (from the date of their appointment to the next Annual General Meeting) with the option to renew for two (2) additional two (2) year terms.

 

CAG Board of Directors are elected to the board without a specific position. Elected members of the board determine the position’s that each person will occupy.

The CAG Board of Directors hire the CAG Executive Director who is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the organization.

The CAG Board of Directors meet monthly on the last Tuesday of the month.

The Board of Directors hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) which is typically held in November of each year. The 2020-2021 AGM will be held virtually on November 30, 2021, 7:00 - 8:00 pm.

Nominations to the CAG Board of Directors

CAG is currently seeking volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors. At this time we are looking to fill 3 board seats.

 

The deadline for expressing interest or nominating a person for the CAG Board of Directors is Tuesday November 23, 2021.

Interested in Serving on the CAG Board of Directors?

If you are interested in serving on the CAG Board of Directors please do the following:

1. Become a member of CAG by completing the form located here, and

2. Send an email to admin@ottawaeastcag.ca that contains the following:

a) First and Last Name*

b) Address (Number and Street Name)*

c) City and Province (e.g. Ottawa, ON)*

d) Postal Code*

e) Phone Number Home (at least one phone number)*

i) An acknowledgement that you have read and support the CAG Mandate*

j) A brief paragraph that answers the question: "Why do you want to volunteer on the CAG Board?"*

k) A brief summary of any experience you may have with volunteer boards?

Interested in Nominating Someone to the CAG Board of Directors?

If you are interested in nominating someone to serve on the CAG Board of Directors please do the following:

1. Become a member of CAG by completing the form located here, and

2. Send an email to admin@ottawaeastcag.ca that contains the following:

The following details for the person you are nominating:

j) A brief paragraph that finished the statement: "I believe this person is a good candidate for the CAG Board of Directors because..."*

Please note: Nominated persons must accept the nomination by email on or before November 23, 2021 in order to be included on the ballot for voting at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
